Who Are We

We are a group who have seen a need for a central point where you can advertise your events for free and connect with others who are interested in attending them. We hope you find this site useful.

Barbara Hand

Barbara has been developing spiritually for over 30 years. She is a partner in Spirit Wings which runs workshops circles, retreats and church services.

She has also been involved nationally since 2005 and was part of the team that launched the current national body, Spiritualism New Zealand. Barbara firmly believes that it is important for everyone to have access to advertising and being aware of what is going on in their region.

Bunra Prak

I’m a creative soul with a deep love for everything creative! I enjoy music, dancing, books, and crafting meaningful jewellery for my business, BeHappiness—where every piece is infused with joy and intention.

As a spiritual seeker, my journey of self-discovery has been a lifelong dance of ups and downs—moments of clarity, creative awakening, and deep self-love. I’m endlessly curious, learning through podcasts, audiobooks, and the wisdom of shared stories through community.

I believe true growth happens through connection – within ourselves, with others, and within community.

Beth Van Hulst

Beth is a practicing pagan witch and photographer with New England roots and an intuitive path shaped by light, imagination, and the quiet in-between. Nature taught her to listen before she ever found her voice. She blends tarot, art, and ritual with intention and quiet wonder. Her view is that spirituality isn’t linear—it’s a spiral of reflection, return, and becoming.

She is pleased to be a part of The Spirit Guide team as staying connected with a like minded community can promote its own sense of wellbeing.

Claire Laurenson

I support revitalising The Spirit Guide event calendar for the benefit of all in the Wellington region.

I have long been interested in spirituality and healing, see about Claire. I’ve worked as a holistic grief practitioner for 30 years, see griefrelief.co.nz, increasingly using intuition and claircognizance alongside my professional training and life experience. I have created a grief resource, the Grief Relief Kit, a unique 1st aid kit to support anyone grieving loss of any kind.

Ebony Poutu

As an Auric Magnetic Healer and Teacher, I am committed to supporting others on their path of spiritual growth and self-discovery. I joined the Spirit Guide website team because I believe that, as more individuals awaken to deeper truths, there is a growing need for accessible, local resources. This platform offers a valuable opportunity to connect people in the Wellington region with aligned practitioners and events—allowing them to explore their interests and healing journeys without needing to travel far.

Richard Morrison

I’ve been involved with reiki, magnetic healing and intuitive art for many years.
After several fantastic life diversions, I’m now retired.
I have the head space to ask myself, who am I and where I’m going.
At the moment its lots of new learning experiences and voluntary work.
I could be in my studio creating or guiding an art group, doing healing or down the beach planting and weeding, trimming tracks or organising mountain bike rides and helping with building or design work.
My life is busy but pretty neat, I feel very privileged to be back on track and living for today.
