Beltane Sound & Voice Ceremony

Sing, Sound and Meditate — Sunday 1 November, Paraparaumu

Beltane, the ancient Celtic festival marking the start of summer, is a threshold of fertility, creation and abundance. The earth is bursting into life, and so are we.

You are warmly invited to gather with me in a ceremonial circle to celebrate this turning of the wheel. Together we’ll tune into the sacred energies and possibilities of this time, opening ourselves to balance, nourishment, new growth and positive change.

Part one: Voice and Spirit

We begin by calling in the supportive presence of Spirit, the ancestors, the forces of Nature and our highest Selves. The land and the unseen realms have always been at the heart of my practice, and they will hold us throughout.

From there I’ll guide you through meditation, gentle Qigong, and conscious sounding and toning to balance and align your energy system. We’ll sing beautiful healing chants from many traditions, and play with guided vocal improvisation for freedom, upliftment and joy.

There’s something quietly powerful about co-creating a sacred group sound. It lifts us, supports us in releasing what we no longer need, and makes space for new visions to take root. We’ll honour that with journaling prompts inspired by Beltane and a moment of intention setting for the season ahead.

Part two: Sound Healing

The second half is a dedicated sound bath. You’ll lie back and simply receive, letting the sound carry you into deep relaxation, stillness and peace, with the gratitude that often arrives in that stillness.

Conscious voice work and sound healing can support us physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically and spiritually, and a growing body of research backs up what so many of us feel. I’m happy to share more about these benefits if you’d like to read further.
