Trust Your Knowing~Yoga Nidra Retreat

April 10 @ 10:00 am - April 13 @ 2:00 pm
$195

We warmly invite you to our next Yoga Nidra retreat facilitated by Ian Melrose of INsight~Nidra and supporting teachers. INsight~Nidra is a powerful and deeply transformative guided meditation practice which is rooted in the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra and also incorporates elements from complementary traditions, including Vipassana meditation, visualisation, archetype work, chakra alignment, and the philosophy of non-dualism.

Set among native trees, beautiful gardens, and an orchard, the Streathean Retreat Centre is a peaceful sanctuary where it’s easy to slow down and be supported by the natural surroundings.

Through guided sessions held over the course of the retreat, participants are invited to step away from the “doing” of daily life and into the “being” of deep rest, allowing the nervous system to settle and mental activity to quieten.

This retreat centres on the Throat Chakra (Vishuddha), the bridge between our inner world and our outer expression. When this energy feels blocked, we might hesitate to say what is true, find it hard to name our feelings, or hold back for fear of how we’ll be received. As we gently support and open this Chakra, it becomes easier to let our truth arise naturally. We begin to find a sense of ease and a clearer connection between what we feel and what we express.

Ian will lead the retreat alongside a small group of experienced teachers who will provide a range of practices which include Guided Yoga Nidra, Archetype Exploration, Vipassana, Laughter Yoga, Crystal Bowls, Mindful Breath Meditation, Reiki. Together, they will create a deeply restorative retreat experience, and you can expect to leave feeling refreshed and reconnected, with a renewed sense of confidence in your authentic voice.

Meals
Enjoy fresh, nourishing vegetarian meals. Morning and afternoon tea are also provided.

Accommodation
Spacious Single, Twin, or larger shared room options are available. There is also space for camping in the retreat grounds. Prices start from $195, plus an optional donation at the end to pay-it-forward, which is how we have been able to retain low prices for this retreat.

If you are interested in deepening your understanding of Yoga Nidra, and the practice of INsight~Nidra, there is the opportunity to stay on from 18–19 April for an additional day of teaching with Ian and supporting facilitators. This extra time will explore the following key aspects of the practice:

The Throat Chakra, the Koshas (layers of our being), the 75 Breaths practice, the Hindrances and Archetypes, Samskara, Karma, and the Skandas; the components of experience described in Buddhist teaching.
